Dodai: 1

Unless I constantly have the HyakuShiki, MKII or any other aeug machine in space or on the soil, air combat will probably be something worth doing so I figured the ol dodai would be good to put in.

A start, of course.

Hyaku Shiki: Arms

Katoki's GFF version of the Hyaku Shiki seems to have slightly different arm builds than the one pictured here, I'm thinking about going with his version in the future instead of this one is this seems to look a wee plain.

Hyaku Shiki: Waist

While I am working on the textures for the Sinanju, I firgured on tying up some of these runaway projects. Hopefully I can keep my mind on them long enough, though I did have "alternate" plans for the Hyaku Shiki as a base "build", especially in the finishing of the Sinanju and Unicorn....

But that's all premature. For now just a little of the waist area...

Sinanju

The end is near, the last parts need to be kinked out and there are other areas I haven't gone back to yet that need to be....gotten back to. But on the whole, it's ok.

Sinanju: Shield 3

Actually just now realizing the weapon that can attach to the shield and rifle is a "grenade launcher". In other news, the beam axe's are looking something on the spiffy side.

Sinanju: Shield 2

Coming along ok, but not there yet. Some of the detail is off, especially in the inside of the shield, and the two what-not weapons attached to the inside haven't been started yet. I guess I can't say "almost there" yet.

Sinanju: Shield 1

Boy, oh boy, this one's not a straight shooter. Took a few breaks on this one by shoveling snow off of the old driveway so I can get to work tomorrow. Maybe the next post will yield some good results on this guy.

Sinanju: Rifle 2

Finally getting to the ends of this one. I was out wasting the day away, though it snowed like hell yet again. As usual, it's not perfect and still needs adjustments. The rifle's lower blaster section attaches to the shield, but doesn't seem to fit on the rifle unless its not attached to the rear grappler on the waist for the Sinanju's rifle. Of course the lower blaster can be optionally attached to the rifle, but I didn't realize this until reading about that section in the instruction manual.

Anyhoo's, a few glaring misses, but getting to it.

Sinanju: Rifle 1

After the time elapsed on the legs, it feels good to move on to something else. The weapons are just getting started. Apparently, like the Unicorn, there are other weapons not included with the MG kit...but with yet another novel. Gonna have to pick some up when they go on sale. For now though, just the rifle. And a nice rifle it is...

Sinanju: Legs 2

I put a little extra into the upper body but the legs are still lacking. Haven't quite finished them up yet so the inner workings aren't up to par and the scale is off. Close to getting done though. Just a few of those minor whatnot's and a little more time...

Sinanju: Legs 1

With half ass style, and too much other work to do, the legs are coming along slowly. Perhaps the next few days will yield a more productive outcome. As it is, I'm not terribly disappointed. I can feel my mind wandering from Sinanju a little though...

Sinanju: Arms

Came back home on the ol' lunch break to render out something on the arms. Gave them a quick parenting and the result is thus. I apparently missed something under the upper arms and the forearms aren't as defined as I would have liked, not to mention the fingers need to be rounded out more -ala Zeon style MS- but I'm glad it's coming around.

Sinanju: Shoulders

In a perfect world, it would read "Arms", but I've been sidetracked a lot AND the construction is about as time consuming as I had imagined. Still, the direction isn't terribly off and things are somewhat in order -- aside from the fact that the end areas of the shoulder armor need to bubble out more.... But now that the Sinanju is going, that Hyaku Shiki might need a bit of finishing... or so me thinks.

Sinanju: Waist

I just realized that the box the plastic version comes in labels the mobel without an "H" in the name (Sinanju) instead of what I had labeled it (Shinanju). I'm liking the H better though. Ah, yes, the waist is coming through decently.

Shinanju: Body 4

Arr... finally almost done with the wing/boosters. They weren't quite as straightforward as I had thought, and nowhere near as easy as I had imagined. I may add a little more detail just for kicks.

Shinanju: Body 3

Just now getting to the backpack. Seems pretty straight-forward so adding a little extra the way the Hi-Nu was approached.... well...sort of. Didn't want to completely ruin the designers idea.

Shinanju: Body 2

Got the basics of the basics down. Too much indenting, not enough smoothing on some parts and too much on other parts. Still have a ways to go before the body is done.

Shinanju: Body 1

Getting busier every day. The body I imagine will take a little more time than I thought. Interestingly, the innards of this bugger aren't exactly the most complex I've ever seen, but it still pretty nice looking and I'm giddy at the thought of getting it finished.

Shinanju: Head

I separated a few parts of the head but I'll probably end up putting them back together the way they were meant to be. Drop the top of the scull a little and fix the inner cranium and it should be good to go. A fellow going by the name of Naoki in one of these hobby mags did an interesting number in increasing the size of the frontal lobe of the skull and kind of giving it a more alien appearance. I'm pondering a similar solution. Anyhow, I feel a bit energized having started this MS. Lovin it!

Shinanju: GO!

unicorn shinanju MG 3d gundam mesh cg sandrum 武者ガンダムユニコーン

I'm still trudging through the newer Strike mesh's surfaces, but my mind wanders all the time. Starting the head of this fabulous looking mobile suit. I remember that I wanted to make a Sazabi as well, but this is much much nicer looking.

Of course I smashed together a Unicorn mesh a year ago, but I was waiting for a Shinanju to be built IRL by bandai so that I wouldn't have to blunder around with "garage kit" pictures online, where it looks to have unusually long legs (by virtue of the Hi-nu frame I'm thinking).
