Musha Gundam: Body 1

In a bid to change that shin musha deviation, I'm going back and sprucing up / changing up the original mesh. Winterheim has some good pics of his figure up which I'm using to help build this one. Shouldn't be bad as it's yet another Katoki side-grade. Got most of the shoulder and chest armor squared away for now as I don't have much for time tonight.

Deep Striker: Cannon B

And suddenly, the Deep Striker! There are some bits and pieces here and there I wanted to get to but didn't because of lack of patience and references. One of the last pieces was this particular thingie... the fin that attaches to the Cannon gear rotator. After this would be small snips of detail here and there on the machine that need to be put in. Wow, more than 2 years later...

Zaku II J: Waist 2

Ran 3Km which wasn't much but the heat made it a really painful run. What made it nice is that the wife bought a couple of gundam mechanics books and sent em my way. Didn't touch the Astray today, seems like the comp is gonna burn up. Instead went back on the waist and some other long since forgotten things.

So finally getting my laziness around to the waist. Not really lazy... just seems like I could have been here quicker if not for some texturing work. Ack, anyhoo...

Gouf Custom: Body 2

Just ran a bit outside and the ankle feels ok. Should be able to run normally for the Aomori Marathon next week. Getting on with the Gouf Custom's body. I used a few of the tricks the Zaku IIJ had though it seems to be in contrary to what the Gouf v2 has, notably I made the backpack attachment similar to that of the Zaku II (which I didn't picture below). The detail is too large in some places and I have to sharpen other areas but it's coming along.

Using some of the Zaku IIJ to try to build a somewhat more movable and better Gouf Custom. Also spying the Gouf v2 for some extra help on the frame.

Zaku II: Body 2

When the local WonderGOO store suddenly started selling its Gundam plamo at less than halfprice (like a year ago, they don't sell it round these parts anymore) I snatched up 3 MG's that I thought I'd never buy; the Acguy, Z'gok and Zaku Cannon. To be honest, I haven't built the first two yet, but the Zaku Cannon I did make and despite being ho-hum as far as exciting factor it was an awesome build -- further cool-ified by its presence in "Bonds of the Battlefield". I'm basically using that model to assist in building the Zaku II's body frame as images from the net show that it appears to vary very little in the torso's frame. Not done yet, but close. The backpack is removable in the MG Cannon so I made the Zaku II the same way. The detail shouldn't be too far off.

Was in Osaka the latter half of last week and ran my half marathon on Sunday, but screwed my ankle up pretty good. Finally getting to this guy while drinking some Pepsi Shiso

Gouf Custom: Go!

Actually this is one that I've wanted to get for a long time -- had it as a Zeonography figure on my desk for a while. After playing bonds of the battlefield and FINALLY getting enough pilot points to get the Zaku Sniper in my menagerie, I've been motivated to get the Gouf Custom alongside the Zaku II. Haven't been able to get the Custom suit into my pilotable list, though the standard gouf is there....

Zaku II: Head

Fighting off viruses on this machine. Seems it had been infected for a few days without my knowledge. Probably not free of those buggers yet but... Went to the game center while it scanned everything. Played some Bonds of the Battlefield (zeon side). Great game. Motivated to keep on the Zaku II and maybe get to that Gouf Custom someday after finally getting enough pilot points for the zaku sniper in the game. Got beat pretty badly though. So...head!

Zaku II: Go!

Wanted to fix the Musha image by first removing the Zaku 2F2 from the image and replacing it with the Zaku II. Of course, that means I have to build it. Additionally I can use the head and legs for the Apsalus which I swear I will return to... but further, I had planned ... nevermind. One step at a time so as not to trip myself up. Still working on the Astray textures too, just taking another breather.

Impulse Gundam: Sword Silhouette 2

Wow! The MG Impulse is a lot of fun! Went back and changed some of the Impulse parts that I wanted, but still want to do a few more things just for the hell of it, especially after reading the information in the manual on some of the impulse's parts. But as far as the sword silhouette goes, it's pretty close to done if not already. Might be a few things that I didn't see that I'll end up just punching in real quick.

When my wife gave me an MG Sword Impulse, I was elated. But surfacing the Astray is getting tedious so I'm going to the sword silhouette for now. I'll get back to the Astray afterward. Basically modifying the Force silhouette as a start. Not much to look at yet.
